Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving frequency setting method in a solid-state imaging unit through the use of an imaging element, which is provided with the number of pixels being more than that of an HDTV image.
SOLUTION: A high-resolution animation image signal is processed by providing an image pickup step 10 for picking-up optically continuous images and converting them into analog electrical signals, an A/D conversion step 15 for converting the analog signals outputted in the imaging step into parallel digital signals, digital arithmetic steps 16 for simultaneously calculating the parallel digital signals from the step 15 in parallel, a parallel/parallel conversion step 17 for converting the signals calculated in parallel into parallel digital signals having different drive frequencies and parallel/serial conversion steps 19 for converting parallel/digital signals from the step 17 into serial digital signals.
