To provide a method for displaying an image on a display device having first and second sides.
An image includes an optical limiting silhouette pattern 2 that has multiple first transparent or translucent regions 6. At least one structure layer has at least one color, the structure layer can be seen from one side but can hardly be seen substantially from the other side of the display device, and it is substantially transparent or translucent when being seen from the other side. A method for displaying the image includes the steps of: 1) providing at least one definition of the structure layer to a computer; 2) using the computer to generate a computerization version of the structure layer; 3) outputting the computerization version of the structure layer to the display device and adjusting the computerization version of the structure layer in order to subdivide the structure layer into multiple second separated transparent or translucent regions and other regions; and 4) displaying the adjusted structure layer and the silhouette pattern through registering of the first and second transparent regions.
