To provide a method of modifying and recovering converter gas, by which high-purity carbon monoxide can be efficiently produced at relatively low cost and can be appropriately used as a chemical material, and to provide a system therefor.
In the method of modifying and recovering converter gas, a gap between a furnace inlet of steel-making converter and an OG system is sealed with carbon dioxide gas, and produced converter gas is sucked, or converter gas produced in a time zone where the concentration of carbon monoxide is relatively high in the blowing pattern of the steel-making converter is selectively sucked, and after carbon dioxide gas in the converter gas is removed, modified converter gas containing high-concentrated carbon monoxide is recovered. The modifying and recovering system 10 for converter gas includes a seal gas supply section 12 or a converter gas recovering section, and a converter gas modifying and recovering section 14.
