To improve the lateral-directional mechanical strength of an extra-fine wire because a conventional extra-fine wire cut on a plane is inferior a little in lateral- directional mechanical strength, as to a method for terminal work for the extra-fine wire such as a magnet wire using a soldering wire or a soldering ball, and as to a touch sensor comprising the extra-fine wire.
In a representative example of the present invention, the tip of the extra-fine wire 2A is cut ridge-likely, a medium 6 such as a flux or a soldering paste for adhesion-fixing temporarily the soldering wire 5 or the soldering ball 8 (soldering block, hereinafter) cut into a fixed length for a period until fusion-joined while heated is applied by a small amount onto a conductor of a cross-sectional part in a conductor face 4 exposed ridge-likely, the extra-fine wire 2B is lifted up vertically with respect to the ground face while directing the conductor face 4 downward, and the soldering block cut into the fixed length preliminarily is bonded to the conductor face 4. Then, a heater is made to approach the soldering block to be heated and fused so as to be joined to the conductor face 4, and a shape of the soldering block is deformed into a spherical shape 7 by the gravity and a surface tension.
