Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-sheet feeding detection device reliably detecting multi-sheet feeding by detecting a paper by an address surface scanner detecting an address surface image of the paper transported and a bottom surface scanner detecting a bottom surface image of the paper.SOLUTION: A multi-sheet feeding detection device comprises: an address surface scanner section reading an address surface image of a paper transported in an upright state; a bottom surface scanner section reading a bottom surface image of the paper transported in the upright state; shape detection means inputting the address surface image output from the address surface scanner section and detecting a shape of the paper from the address surface image; end surface detection means inputting the bottom surface image output from the bottom surface scanner section and detecting an end surface of the paper bottom surface from the bottom surface image; and multi-sheet feeding determination means determining sheet feeding to be multi-sheet feeding in the case where a plurality of papers is detected by the shape detection means even when a plurality of end surfaces is not detected by the end surface detection means.
