To provide a pedestal for a handle, which can achieve commonality of components while improving assemblability, and a door handle provided with the same.
A pedestal 2 for a handle comprises: a pair of handles 19 which are rotatable on both front and rear sides of a door panel 10; a pair of pedestals 20 each of which has an opening 23 through which a handle shaft 18 passes; and the handle shaft 18 which connects the handles 19 to each other. The pair of pedestals are respectively provided with pedestal bodies 21 disposed along the front side 10a and the rear side 10b of the door panel 10, respectively, and each of the pedestals includes a convex fitting part 26 and a concave fitting part 27 protruding from the side of the pedestal body 21 facing the other pedestal body toward the other pedestal body and provided so that they are arranged at a linearly symmetrical position with respect to a line passing through the shaft center of the handle shaft 18 when viewing in the opposite direction of the handle shaft. The respective convex fitting parts 26 and a concave fitting parts 27 are mutually fitted and thus fixedly connected together. The fitting parts of both the pedestal bodies are formed mutually in the substantially same dimension and shape.
