To provide a pneumatic tire having improved absorption or damping properties to thereby increase ride comfort upon properly securing energization performance.
The pneumatic tire has: a nonconductive carcass 4; a side rubber section Sg configured from sidewall rubber 6 and rim strip rubber 7 formed from nonconductive rubber; and a conductive pathway Ph that electrically connects the ground-contacting surface of a tread section 3 and the rim-contacting position of a bead section 1. The side rubber section Sg is provided with a radial conductive section 8 that extends in a tire radial direction RD, and the radial conductive section 8 is formed from conductive rubber and configures a portion of the conductive pathway Ph. Furthermore, a conductive branch section 9 is provided that passes within the side rubber section Sg extending to the inside in the thickness direction of the side rubber section Sg having branched from the radial conductive section 8. The conductive branch section 9 is disposed at a position that partitions the side rubber section Sg into the outside and inside in the tire radial direction RD, and is formed from conductive rubber having hardness that differs from the rubber hardness of the side rubber section Sg.
