Abstract:

To provide potatoes increased in starch levels obtained per plant body in order to raise potato starch productivity, and to provide a method for creating the potatoes.

The potatoes increased in tuber harvest obtained per plant body compared to nontransformed potatoes cultivated under the identical conditions are such as to be transferred with a gene encoding a DNA binding protein belonging to Dof family. The method for creating the potatoes comprises transferring potatoes with the gene to express the gene in the original potatoes.
