Abstract:
To provide a compact radiation measurement device capable of correctly specifying a position of a measurement object.SOLUTION: A radiation measurement device 1 of the present invention is a radiation measurement device capable of measuring a position at which a measurement object b such as a spent nuclear fuel including a radioactive material exists, and includes: a gamma ray collimator 111 having a substantially cylindrical shaped cylindrical body 112 which reduces a gamma ray and permits incidence of neutrons; a radiation detector 210 connected to this gamma ray collimator 111 and having a neutron converter 212 sensitive to thermal neutrons and measuring an energy imparted by the gamma ray and the thermal neutrons; a gamma ray shield body 311 provided so as to cover a region other than the gamma ray collimator 111; a neutron absorbing element 312 provided so as to cover the region other than the gamma ray collimator 111; and a neutron moderator 411 filled inside the cylindrical body 112.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
