Abstract:
PURPOSE: To embody a low cost and a high security in a recording medium which can reversibly record/erase an image.
CONSTITUTION: A card 1 is formed by laminating a colored security image 12, such as a bar code, special graphics, or special characters, a variable layer 13 reversibly changing in transmittance, and a protective layer 14 having a transparency on a substrate 11 made of, for example, a white vinyl chloride resin or polyester. By turning the variable layer 13 transparent, the security image 12 is brought into a visibly indicated state or a mechanically readable state. By turning the variable layer 13 opaque, the security image 12 is brought into an invisibly undisplay state or a mechanically unreadable state.
