Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely perform the opening and closing operation of a rolled paper charging part without nipping fingers, in a front operation type rolled paper printer.
SOLUTION: A front opening 5 for charging a rolled paper is formed in a front 3 of a rolled paper printer 1 and closed by a front cover 6. By pulling forward a control lever 7, the front cover 6 can be opened. The front cover 6 has its upper end part always pressed against an oscillating link 23 forming an opening closing mechanism thereof, through the force of a torsion spring 63. Even by opening the front cover 6, a gap G1 between a front cover upper end face 6b and the oscillating link 23 is not increased. By setting the gap G1 to a low value at which a finger does not enter, a risk of the finger being nipped between the operation lever and the front cover upper end part 6c during operation of the control lever 7 can be avoided.
