Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a data transfer speed of an auxiliary storage device.
SOLUTION: In writing data in an auxiliary storage device, this storage controller reads out the data from a first buffer memory (S101) after it opens a file (S100), and writes data of a specified block size in a metafile 110 on the auxiliary storage device (S102 to S105). The metafile is edited sequentially. Even when writing of the data is completed, the file is not closed. When the data are read from the auxiliary storage device, the file is opened (S111) and the data are read from the metafile (S112 to S114). Even after reading of the data is completed, the file is not closed. Thus, it is possible to sequentially perform write and read and to improve a transfer speed by using the auxiliary storage device as a so-called ring buffer.
