Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the teaching method for a work reference position, which can be automated, and teach a work reference position with high accuracy.

CONSTITUTION: A laser beam projector 14 is disposed at a robot hand 6, a laser beam receiver 13 is disposed in a support section 12 in advance, the robot hand 6 is scanned while a laser beam is being irradiated from the laser beam projector 14, and the coordinate values of the robot hand 6 upon receiving a laser beam from the laser beam projector 14 at the laser beam receiver 13 is taught to a robot control means as a work reference point.
