Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition, useful as a material for sliding members, etc., and excellent in abrasion resistance by adding a magnesium sulfate compound to a tetrafluoroethylene resin.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is obtained by adding 1-50vol.% magnesium sulfate compound expressed by the formula MgSO45Mg(OH)2.3H2O to 50-99vol.% tetrafluoroethylene resin such as Teflon(R). Furthermore, the particle diameter of the magnesium sulfate compound is preferably 5-100μm.
