Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an infrared detector to be improved in detection sensitivity in a room temperature range by a method, wherein infrared detection material is one or more kinds of metals selected from among rare earth metals and alkaline earth metals and contains a specific metal oxide. SOLUTION: A thermal infrared detector 1 is structured in a manner where a bridge structure 4 is formed on a silicon board 2, an S-shaped infrared detecting part 5 of an infrared detecting material is formed on the bridge structure 4. The infrared detecting material of the infrared detecting part 5 is composed of one or more kinds of metal A selected from among rare earth metals and alkaline earth metals such as bismuth(Bi), lanthanum(La), strontium(Sr) and the like and manganese(Mg) and formed of metal oxide represented by a general formula, Bi2-xAxMn4O10 (where 0<=x<1). With this setup, an infrared detector having temperature coefficient of resistance exsuperid in the room temperature range can be obtained.
