Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a clear electrode by a method wherein a part of the extension of the clear electrode which is extended for coupling is kept covered with an amorphous Si layer, when a plurality of solar battery cells are coupled by the connection between the clear electrode and a metallic electrode provided on a cell. CONSTITUTION:The clear electrode 2 of an ITO, etc. is adhered on a transparent insulation substrate 1, the amorphous Si layer 3 is deposited thereon, and the metallic electrode 4 is provided thereon, resulting in the formation of a solar battery unit cell. Next, unit cells adjacent each other are connected into a solar battery device having a desired output; thereat, the clear electrode 2 is extended, and this extension part is connected to the metallic electrode 4. However, since the ITO constituting the clear electrode 2 is weak to acids, and thereby the electrode 2 may be deteriorated at the time of etching the upper side electrode of an Al, etc. formed later, the part to the extension the joint 5 of the clear electrode 2 is kept covered with the Si layer 3. Thus, the characteristic of the solar battery is stabilized.
