To obtain the subject medicine having few adverse effects, capable of withstanding long-term administration, having high effect and useful for treatment and prevention of transient ischemic attack by including a well-known specific compound as a thromboxane synthetic enzyme inhibitor.
This medicine comprises preferably 1-50 wt.% compound which is well-known as a thromboxane synthetic enzyme inhibitor and is represented by the formula [R1 is pyridyl; R2 is a lower alkoxy, or the like; R3 is H, or the like; Y is sulfur, or the like; (l) is 0-6] or its pharmacologically permissible salt [e.g. (E)-7-(3-pyridyl)-7-phenyl-6-heptenoic acid]. The medicine is preferably orally administered, preferably at a daily dose of 20-150 mg as compound of the formula or its salt in 1-4 portions.
