Title:
WALK GUIDANCE SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3822580
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the position of a pedestrian to perform guidance according to a pedestrian's course direction by using a transceiver inducing an electric field based on information to be transmitted to an electric field transmission medium and detecting the electric field induced to the electric field transmission medium to transmit/receive the information.
SOLUTION: This walk guidance system 100 has four transmitters 110i (i=a, b, c, d) and a guidance device 120, and detects the pedestrian moving on a walk guidance spot to perform the guidance according to the pedestrian's course direction by arranging the guidance device 120 on the walk guidance spot and arranging the transmitters 110i on a road surface in four directions thereof at appropriate intervals each not more than a person's step. This is based on that a communication line between the transmitters 110i and the guidance device 120 through the pedestrian is established by using the transceiver 9 when the pedestrian simultaneously contacts with electrodes of the guidance device 120 and the transmitter 110i on the road surface.
