Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a thin wire having a wire diameter of ≤5.5mm at high efficiency and in a high quality.
SOLUTION: A rolling device 1 is provided with a pair of 1st rolls and a pair of 2nd rolls which are mutually connectivity arranged in the rolling direction of a material to be rolled and with which the material to be rolled is respectively successively mutually compressed from different directions and those pairs of the 1st and 2nd rolls have grooved parts for regulating the cross- sectional shape of the material to be rolled on the respective rolling surfaces. Then, the width W1 of the grooved part formed on a pair of the 1st rolls is defined as ≤7mm, the width W2 of the grooved part formed on a pair of 2nd rolls is defined as ≤6mm and the center distance between those pairs of the 1st and 2nd rolls is confined as ≤50mm. Thrust adjusting mechanism 160 for relatively moving two rolls included in each pair in the thrust direction and for holding the positions is provided.
