Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention relate to an audio and video playing device and method. The audio and video playing device comprises a processor system and a display system. The processor system wirelessly sends high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) format data to the display system. The display system wirelessly receives the HDMI format data sent by the processor system, and plays an audio and a video according to the wirelessly-received HDMI format data. In the audio and video playing device provided in the embodiments of the present invention, when the device hardware is upgraded, the processor system or the display system can be separately upgraded; hardware upgrading is convenient and the operability is high; and the problem of poor operability of hardware upgrading of an audio and video playing device in the prior art is resolved.
