Abstract:
Provided is a brake device capable of maintaining pads and a rotor in a desired positional relationship. In cases when a release request is received in the period after execution of an apply request has started until contact between a disk rotor (4) and brake pads (33) is detected, a parking brake control device (19) does not execute the release request, and executes the release request after contact between the disk rotor (4) and the brake pads (33) is detected. Furthermore, in cases when an apply request is received in the period after execution of a release request has started until detachment of the brake pads (33) from the disk rotor (4) is detected, the parking brake control device (19) does not execute the apply request, and executes the apply request after detachment of the brake pads (33) from the disk rotor (4) is detected.
