Abstract:
This crimp terminal (10) is provided with a conductor-crimping section (16). Said conductor-crimping section (16), which has a bottom section (16a) and swage parts (16b) that extend from the sides of said bottom section (16a), can crimp a conductor (1) of an electric cable (W), said conductor (1) comprising a plurality of strands (1a). The sides of the conductor-crimping section (16) that the conductor contacts are provided with a plurality of serrations (18). Each of said serrations (18) is tapered so as to gradually increase in depth with increasing distance from the center (O) of the conductor-crimping section (16) in the axial direction (C1) of the conductor (1), and the groove side surface (18a) of each serration (18) on the far side of that serration (18) from the aforementioned center (O) is formed so as to be essentially vertical.
