Abstract:
Provided is an image forming device capable of easily initializing a consumable memory. This image forming device (1) executes: a reception process (S12) in which first service life information (224, 225, 426-428) is stored in a first consumable memory (22, 42) provided to a first consumable (4, 20), second service life information (224, 225, 426-428) is stored in a second consumable memory (22, 42) provided to a second consumable (4, 20), and an instruction to initialize the first service life information and the second service life information is received; an initialization process (S313, S314) in which the first service life information and the second service life information are initialized according to the received instruction; and a write process (S415, S434) in which first initialization information indicating that the first service life information has been initialized is written to the first consumable memory, and second initialization information indicating that the second service life information has been initialized is written to the second consumable memory.
