Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a method for managing a sub optical network unit (ONU), applied to an optical line terminal (OLT). The OLT is connected to a main ONU, and the main ONU is further connected to one or more sub ONUs. The method comprises: sending a management message to the main ONU, wherein the management message is a message for managing the ONUs, the main ONU comprises one or more paths, and the one or more paths have one-to-one correspondence to the one or more sub ONUs; and receiving a feedback message sent by the main ONU, wherein the feedback message is a first feedback message or a second feedback message; when the feedback message is the first feedback message, the feedback message is generated by a first sub ONU, the first sub ONU is one of the one or more sub ONUs, and a first path corresponding to the first sub ONU is in an on state; and when the feedback message is the second feedback message, the feedback message is generated by the main ONU, and the one or more paths are in an off state. The present disclosure further provides a method for a main ONU to manage a sub ONU, an OLT, and a main ONU.
