Abstract:
Disclosed is a paste composition which enables an aluminum electrode layer that is obtained after firing the paste composition to have an appearance that is free from blisters and aluminum balls without causing a warp of a silicon semiconductor substrate. The paste composition is also capable of improving adhesion between the aluminum electrode layer and the silicon semiconductor substrate, while suppressing a reaction between the aluminum electrode layer and a moisture content. Also disclosed is a solar cell element which comprises an electrode that is formed using the paste composition. Specifically disclosed is a paste composition for forming an electrode (8) on a silicon semiconductor substrate (1), which contains an aluminum powder, an organic vehicle and a glass frit. The glass frit contains at least one transition metal oxide selected from the group consisting of titanium oxide, vanadium oxide, iron oxide, molybdenum oxide, neodymium oxide and tungsten oxide. Also specifically disclosed is a solar cell element which comprises a backside electrode (8) that is formed using the paste composition.
