Abstract:
[Problem] To ensure the strength that a protective vest inherently requires, while simplifying the configuration, making the vest lightweight, and reducing manufacturing cost. [Solution] This protective vest for protecting the body of a wearer comprises: a cylindrical body part 11 which covers an area surrounding the chest and abdomen of the wearer; and shoulder parts 12, 12 laid over the front and rear of the upper portion of the body part 11 and which hang down on the shoulders of the wearer, wherein the body part 11 is formed by superimposing a plurality of protective layers formed in a planar shape by spreading string-shaped high-strength resins in parallel. In these plurality of protective layers, the string-shaped high-strength resins forming the respective protective layers are spread in intersecting directions with respect to an upper stage and a lower stage.
