Abstract:

Provided is a rotor (1) for a motor comprising: a rotor core (2); a plurality of permanent magnet insertion slots (3) which is formed on the periphery of the rotor core (2) along the circumferential direction, having a void (5) formed at both ends extending toward the outer periphery with permanent magnets (4) respectively inserted thereinto; and the permanent magnets (4) respectively inserted into the permanent magnet insertion slots (3). A thin portion (7) is formed between the void (5) and the periphery of the rotor core (2), and rounded corners (P1, P2) are formed at two positions near the periphery in the void (5). The radius of curvature of either the corner (P1) or the corner (P2) is a half or more of the circumferential width (t2) of the void (5).
