Abstract:
To enable only a customer engineer who has a terminal for a manager to perform maintenance.SOLUTION: In an authentication system according to an embodiment, a print order receiving machine with the print order receiving machine which receives a print order of input image data, and a manager terminal which can communicate with the print order receiving machine generates a password, and converts the password into a two-dimensional code to be displayed on a display unit. The manager terminal reads the two-dimensional code displayed on the display unit to acquire the password, and transmits the acquired password to the print order receiving machine. The print order receiving machine performs authentication processing for determining whether or not a customer engineer is right by using the generated password and the password received from the manager terminal, and allows the customer engineer to perform maintenance when it is determined that the customer engineer is right.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
