Abstract:
To achieve a decarbonization-type energy transport method using biomass-derived aromatic compounds and alicyclic hydrocarbons for the organic hydride method.SOLUTION: A decarbonization-type energy transport method comprises: a process of generating hydrogen gas by means of electrolysis of water using electricity obtained from renewable energy; a process of producing aromatic hydrocarbons from biomass; a process of hydrogenating the produced aromatic hydrocarbons with the generated hydrogen gas to produce an alicyclic hydrocarbons; a process of transporting the generated alicyclic hydrocarbons; and a process of dehydrogenating a part or all of the transported alicyclic hydrocarbons to extract hydrogen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
