Title:
3進信号から2進信号を生成する回路
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3643589
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
For reproducing magnetically recorded binary signals, a signal composed of pulses that are alternatively positive and negative with respect to a center line is scanned from the tape. In order to recover the binary signal, level discriminators that are capable of detecting the low level and the high level of the signal are required. Known circuitry require an AGC and are only suitable for direct voltage-free binary signals. The object of the invention is to design circuitry that requires no AGC and that is also suitable for binary signals having a direct voltage component. For that purpose, the signal is applied to two comparators (2, 3), whereas the difference between the applied bias voltages is regulated by the means value of the output voltages (C1, C2) ofthe comparators and the means pulse width of the output voltages is approximately constant. The invention is particularly useful for video recorders with digital signal recording.
