Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium with which the many valued levels can be easily decided by making the dynamic range of a change in reflectivity greater by a simple optical system and recording pulse strategy. SOLUTION: The information recording medium of reproducing the many valued data by recording the marks of the information in predetermined recording units at the lengths in the tangential direction of the disk varied in correspondence to the many valued data and detecting the change in the reflected light quantity by the mark lengths is so constituted that the marks of the information extending longer in the longitudinal direction from the center of the recording in the tangential direction of the disk are recorded at the wider end widths.
