Abstract:
A method for printing on a planographic printing plate precursor, said method comprising: a step for preparing a planographic printing plate precursor for on-press development, said precursor including an exposed portion subject to image-like exposure and a non-exposed portion and having a color difference ΔE in the L*a*b* color space as calculated in the formula below between the exposed portion and the non-exposed portion of 2-8 inclusive; an imaging step for converting first information consisting of the exposed portion and the non-exposed portion into first electronic information; a processing step for converting the first electronic information into second electronic information; and a printing step for printing second information on the planographic printing plate precursor on the basis of the second electronic information. Formula: ΔE=((L2*-L1*)2+(a2*-a1*)2+(b1*-b2*)2)1/2, where L1*, a1*, and b1* represent values for the exposed portion, and L2*, a2*, and b2* represent values for the non-exposed portion.
