Abstract:
To provide a rail breakage detection device capable of detecting a rail breakage state and the presence/absence of an on-rail train by causing an inspection signal different from a return wire current to flow to a track circuit obtained by appropriately shirt-circuiting right and left rails of a rail pair constituting a railroad track to eliminate an impedance bond.SOLUTION: A rail breakage detection device includes a plurality of section end short circuit lines 21 and 22 attached to right and left lines 11 and 12 at a plurality of places to short-circuit a return wire current, a circulation track circuit formation member 30 connected to the lines 21 and 22 to form a track circuit circulating together with the pair of lines 11 and 12, a transmission unit 40 for transmitting an inspection signal i0 different from a return wire current to the member 30, a measurement unit 50 for measuring a pair of branch signals i1 and i2 related to the inspection signal i0 at both sides of a connection place 22c about the section end short circuit line 22 with the member 30 connected thereto, unbalance formation means 25 for making a balanced state of the branch signals i1 and i2 an unbalanced state, and a determination unit 60 for performing determination about rail breakage and train detection on the basis of measurement values k1 and k2 of the branch signals i1 and i2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
