Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject new derivative useful as a synthetic intermediate, etc., for substances raising Ca2+ concentration by acting on inositol 1,4,5- triphosphate receptor, by condensing a specific adenosine derivative with a glucose derivative.

CONSTITUTION: This new 3'-glucosyladenosine derivative is expressed by formula I [R1 and R2 are each an acyl; R3 and R5 are each a (substituted)benzyl, a trialkylsilyl, an alkoxyalkyl, etc.; R4 is a (substituted)trrphenylmethyl or trialkylsilyl; R6 to R8 are each an acyl] and is useful as an important intermediate, etc., in the synthesis of adenophostins having activity to increase an intracellular calcium ion concentration by acting on inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate (InsP3) receptor. The derivative is obtained by condensing an adenosine derivative expressed by formula II with a glucose derivative expressed by formula III (X is an eliminable group).
