Abstract:
To provide an acceleration detector capable of precisely detecting the mounting angle of an acceleration sensor.SOLUTION: The acceleration detector includes an acceleration sensor 20 with at least an sx-axis and an sy-axe that are orthogonal to each other, and the acceleration sensor 20 is placed on a vehicle so that the yaw mounting angle, which is the angle between the vehicle reference axis and the virtual line set between the sx-axis and the sy-axis, is ±15 degrees or less. The acceleration detector includes: an acquisition unit 31 that acquires the acceleration in the sx-axis direction and the acceleration in the sy-axis direction from the acceleration sensor 20 in a state where acceleration in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle occurs and there is substantially no acceleration in the vehicle width direction; and a mounting angle calculation unit 37 that calculates the yaw mounting angle assuming that the vehicle is subject to acceleration in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and no acceleration in the lateral direction of the vehicle from an angle calculation formula derived using the fact that the tan value of the yaw mounting angle is approximate to the yaw mounting angle and the acquired acceleration in the sx-axis direction and the acceleration in the sy-axis direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
