Abstract:
To facilitate the purification of a target protein expressed by a recombinant DNA technique.
This activated inclusion body comprising a fusion protein of a protecting polypeptide and a target protein, and having the activity of the target protein. The activated inclusion body holds the target protein in a correctly folded normal protein state. The correctly folded target protein can be cut out from the fused protein without solubilizing the activated inclusion body. The protecting polypeptide is a polypeptide having a mol.wt. of about 17,000 and comprising the N-terminal side portion of a long type FKBP type PPIase derived from an archaebacterium.
