Title:
ALUMINUM BRONZE ALLOY FOR BOTTOL MAKING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001240924
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an aluminum bronze alloy for bottol making which is high in proof stress at 400 to 500°C being the common temperature region of a glass mold material, strong in deformation, and capable of preventing the surface roughening of a metallic mold by the improvement of its high temperature oxidation resistance thereby remarkably improving the life of the metallic mold and optimum as the metallic mold material for a glass bottol making.

This aluminum bronze alloy for bottol making has a composition consisting of, by weight, 5 to 15% Al, 1 to 8% Fe, 0.3 to 8% Ni, one or more kinds selected from Cr and Ti and the balance Cu with impurities, is excellent in high temperature strength and high temperature oxidation resistance and is used for the metallic mold material for glass bottol making. Also, the alloy contains 0.1 to 4% Mn having the effect of deoxidizing molten metal, 1 to 5% Si having the similar action, or 0.1 to 4% one or more kinds selected from Co, Nb, Mo, Mg, Zr and V.
