To provide a method for stripping off an electrodeposited metal where a gap-forming step, a spreading step, and a separation step can be performed by one stripping apparatus, conveying equipment for conveying a cathode plate between apparatuses is not required, the downsizing of the apparatus is possible, a time for replacing (transferring) the cathode plate or the like is not required, working efficiency and productivity are favorable, and also cost reduction is possible.
After one wedge member 24 is inserted into a gap which is formed at one upper joining part between one surface of a cathode plate 1 and one electrodeposited metal 8 by pressing the one surface of the cathode plate 1 in the generally vertical direction using one flexing member 20, the other wedge member is inserted into a gap which is formed at the upper joining part by pressing the other surface of the cathode plate in the generally vertical direction using the other flexing member. By moving one pair of wedge members downward, the electrodeposited metal, i.e. a pair of two electrodeposited metals, is stripped off from the cathode plate without separating the pair while being spread in a V shape.
