To reduce maintenance cost at the startup or shutdown of an incinerator, and to shorten the startup and shutdown times.
At the startup of an incinerating apparatus 1 of a first train, exhaust gas on the upstream side of a bag filter 6A in an incinerating apparatus 2 of a working second train is branched from an exhaust gas branching passage 9, and introduced to a bag filter 6 of the incinerating apparatus 1 of the first train, to heat the bag filter 6.
