Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle battery temperature control device capable of extending a possible travel distance by effectively utilizing a battery as a heat storage part for air conditioning.SOLUTION: A battery temperature control device comprises: a battery heat exchanger 16 capable of exchanging heat between coolant in an air conditioner 1 and a battery 30; an expansion valve 15 which changes the state of the coolant supplied to the battery heat exchanger 16; and a control unit 24 which controls the expansion valve 15 in accordance with a target temperature of the battery 30 so as to control the temperature of the battery. When the air conditioner 1 performs heating, the control unit 24 determines whether or not heating performance by the air conditioner 1 is insufficient. If the heating performance is insufficient, the control unit 24 reduces the target temperature of the battery 30 so that the expansion valve 15 is controlled to transfer the heat of the battery to the coolant.
