This beauty treatment material of the nail is characterized by containing (a) an alkylene oxide derivative expressed by the following chemical formula (I) and (b) a film-forming agent. Formula (I): R1O-[(AO)m(EO)n]-R2 [wherein, AO is a 3-4C oxyalkylene group; EO is oxyethylene group; (m) and (n) are each an average added molar number for the oxyalkylene group and oxyethylene group respectively and are 1≤(m)≤70 and 1≤(n)≤70; the ratio of the oxyethylene group to the total of the oxyalkylene group and oxyethylene group is 20-80 mass %; the oxyalkylene group and oxyethylene group may be added either in a block state or a random state; and R1, R2 are each a 1-4C hydrocarbon or H and the ratio of number of H atoms to the number of the hydrocarbon groups in the R1, R2 is ≤0.15].
