Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable fiber having biodegradability and having affinity with bones, and to provide a method for manufacturing the biodegradable fiber.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a biodegradable fiber includes: a step A of discharging a chitosan solution containing chitosan and one or both of phosphoric acid and a phosphate into a calcium-containing solution to obtain a fibrous product of chitosan in which an amorphous calcium phosphate is distributed in a dispersed state; a step B of subjecting the fibrous product of chitosan to dehydration treatment and neutralization treatment for converting the calcium phosphate to hydroxyapatite to distribute the hydroxyapatite in the fibrous product of chitosan in a dispersed state; and a step C of drawing the fibrous product of chitosan.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
