Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless AC generating apparatus which has the simple construction so as to have the temperature of its field winding measured with high precision.
SOLUTION: This brushless AC generating apparatus has a brushless AC generator 1, an AC exciter 4 connected directly to the brushless AC generator 1 and a field winding temperature measurement means measuring the field winding temperature of the AC generator. The field winding temperature measurement means calculates and measures the field winding temperature according to the field voltage and the exciting current of the brushless AC generator. The field winding temperature measurement means has a voltmeter 2 measuring the field voltage of the brushless AC generator, an ammeter 8 measuring a current supplied to the AC exciter and a field winding temperature calculation unit 7 calculating the field winding temperature of the brushless AC generator according to the measurement signal values obtained by the voltmeter and the ammeter.
