PURPOSE: To maintain camera movement correction processing performance even if data is transferred between microcomputers while executing camera movement correction processing by inputting/outputting a binary signal through the use of a dedicated data transfer means while the camera movement correc tion processing is executed.
CONSTITUTION: When the speed direction of a camera movement and the moving direction of a correcting lens 11 are the same, the correcting lens 11 is moved in the direction opposite to a direction to offset the camera movement. Therefore, for obtaining the direction to offset the camera movement, the driving direction of the correcting lens 11 is reversed. When the speed direction of the camera movement is opposite to the moving direction of the correcting lens 11, the correcting lens 11 is driven in the direction to offset the camera movement, so that the speed of the camera movement is compared with that of the correcting lens 11 without executing any processing. When the speed of the camera movement is high, the driving quantity of the correcting lens 11 is not enough and the driving speed of the correcting lens 11 is increased. When the speed of the camera movement is low, the driving speed of the correcting lens 11 is reduced.
