Abstract:
To provide a reusable carbon fiber twisted yarn that allows yarn diameter to be freely designed and can ensure flexibility as a yarn and improve connection strength of carbon fibers, and allows fabrics of various shapes to be formed using an existing textile machine, etc.SOLUTION: A carbon fiber twisted yarn 10 is reusable and made of carbon fiber reinforced resin W as raw material and made by spirally twisting a thread-shaped carbon fiber bundle 1 formed by connecting a plurality of carbon fibers 11 aligned in one direction in longer direction. The carbon fiber bundle is formed so as to be connected in longer direction through joint member 2 at tips 11S of the carbon fibers and opened at regions 11G other than the tips of the carbon fibers so that carbon fibers are separated from each other. A resin residual JZ formed by thermally decomposing a matrix resin MJ is fixed to the tip of the carbon fiber. The carbon fiber twisted yarn is formed into a rope by spirally twisting two or more carbon fiber bundles respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
