Abstract:
To provide a silver catalyst to oxidize ethylene into ethylene oxide.
The silver catalyst contains the combination of promoters composed of an alkali metal component, a sulfur component, an alkaline earth metal component and ≤1,000 ppm of an optionally selected fluorine component, but the catalyst does not substantially contain rhenium and transition metals.
