To provide the mounting of a deflection yoke in which clearance between a funnel portion inner face and electron beams is secured, consumed power and the like can be reduced, by forming swelling portions on the outer face of the deflection yoke mounting portion parts of a funnel portion so as to form depressions on an inner face.
Swelling portions 12 swelling on an outer face so as to form depressions 11 on an inner face are formed on the deflection yoke 9 mounting portions of a cathode-ray tube body 5, that is, parts of the funnel side mounting portions so that a glass thickness becomes equal to its surrounding. The swelling portions 12 are formed at positions facing four corner portions in the diagonal directions of a panel portion 2 fluorescent screen 6. Thereby, even when the deflection yokes 9 are mounted as shifting to a neck portion 4 side further than usual, clearance between a funnel portion 3 inner face and electron beams can be easily increased without interfering with the deflection yokes 9. Accordingly, the magnetic field energy of the deflection yokes 9 can be lessened so that consumed power can be reduced.
