Title:
CELL FOR MEASURING TRANSCRIPTION PROMOTABILITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000253889
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a sell that can more simply measure the activity of a specimen with respect to the transcription promotability of the ligand-responding transcription regulatory factor and is useful as a measurement kit or the like by incorporating a specific reporter gene into the chromosome.

The objective cell expresses the gene encoding the ligand- responding transcription regulatory factor and has (A) a reporter gene that is connected to the downstream side from the base sequence necessary for the recognition sequence and the start of the transcription and (B) the reporter gene that is connected to the downstream side from the promoter whose transcription activity is not change by the contact with ligand of the ligand- responding transcription regulatory factor introduced into the chromosome. In a preferred embodiment, the objective cells are used to evaluate the agonist activity or the antagonist activity of the specimen to the transcription promotability of the ligand-responding transcription regulatory factor.
