Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic heater capable of suppressing manufacture cost increase rather than the case where gold (Au) is used, while comprising a plating layer in which corrosion resistance is improved more than in a plating layer with nickel (Ni) as a main component, and to provide a manufacturing method of such the ceramic heater.SOLUTION: A brazing material plating film 125 of a ceramic heater 100 includes a second brazing part plating layer 127 formed from palladium as an outermost layer. The second brazing part plating layer 127 formed from palladium improves corrosion resistance with respect to a nitrogen oxide (NOx) or a water screen. A first brazing part plating layer 126 is formed from nickel boron (Ni-B) in a crystal state, thereby improving adhesion between the second brazing part plating layer 127 and the first brazing part plating layer 126. Palladium is more inexpensive in comparison with gold (Au), thereby reducing increase in manufacture cost as the ceramic heater 100.
