To provide a circuit which further improves breakdown voltage of an amplifying element used in a circuit represented as a cascode circuit which is operated by a frequency higher than a transition frequency unique to the amplifying element.
The cascode circuit wherein a first and a second transistors are connected vertically is served as a parent, the first transistor is served as an input transistor, a diode is connected in parallel in a forward direction between a base and an emitter of the first transistor, and a current mirror is constituted. Furthermore, a third transistor is connected in parallel with an output terminal and an input terminal of the first transistor. After that, an input signal is connected to a base of the third transistor. In the above constitution, the the increase of input capacitance by mirror effect of the first transistor is reduced by the second transistor, and breakdown voltage of the first transistor can be increased simultaneously with the reduction of output capacitance by the third transistor.
